In today's episode of the Mr. Wine Guy Podcast, I have the pleasure of sitting down with Dr. Carole Meredith, Co-Owner, Co-Proprietor, and Winemaker for Lagier Meredith Vineyard out of the Mt. Veeder AVA of Napa Valley.
Carole has achieved so many things throughout her career and literally wrote the book on most of what we know today in the wine industry.
With that being said, Carole talks about her time at UC Davis as a Professor in Viticulture and Enology for 22 years. Carole also shares her experiences as a Grape geneticist and the significant part she played in the study of grape genetics and proper grape identifications.
Carole talks about her husband Steve Lagier and everything he means to her, how their journey in the wine industry began atop Mt. Veeder in the mid-1980's, and what it means to work alongside Steve making wines for Lagier Meredith.
Carole also talks about her experience as a Vintner Hall of Famer since 2009, and her roles in the SOMM into the Bottle and SOMM III documentaries.
Carole is a living legend in the wine industry and wildly regarded as one of the most respected and talented people in the wine industry. It was truly an honor to be able to interview Carole for this podcast and I cannot wait for you to dive in and hear all the amazing things she has to talk about.
