In Episode 70 of the Mr. Wine Guy Podcast I had the privilege of sitting down with Cole Ballentine, Winemaker for Smoking Gun Wine's out of St. Helena, CA.
In this episode Cole shares the history of his family in the wine industry dating back to the early 1900's, the history of William Cole Vineyards, and what it means to be a 5th generation winemaker out of Northern California.
Cole talks about his father Bill Ballentine and all the ways Bill has inspired him over the years and helped sharpen him to becoming the winemaker that he is today.
Cole also talks about Smoking Gun Wines, a brand that he created back in 2013, what inspired him to create this brand, the meaning behind the name and where he see's Smoking Gun going in the future.
